At 50,000-60,000rpm, the tip of the propeller is travelling at around Mach 1.2- 1.6 which is 994- 1,217mph, , or around 500 metres a second.. It is electric and uses around 4 to 4.5 kilowatts in flight...which produces 5-6 horsepower. The plane is a foam Multiplex Funjet ultra, the batteries it used for these runs were 3200 and 4250 mah Turnigy Nanotech 'A' spec 6 cell lipos. The motor is a Leopard LBP3674 (V1) 36x74mm in-runner 2600kv. The props used were Graupner speed/ cam speed 6.5 x 6.5 and a 7x7 This produced a top indicated speed of 362 kmh or 224.9 mph.
