I wanted to purchase a good travel drone mainly for recording our vacation trips and the occasional cinematic footage of the area i live around. After deliberating for a long time between the DJI Spark and the Mavic Air, I finally decided to pick the Spark Fly More Combo as I got a very good sale price and the following factors :I wanted something small and easy to carry (Both the Spark and Air were tied here.(Maybe the Air had a slight edge)I wanted something that was not bothersome to people around me when I'm flying in public places. That means you can fly in more places with less intrusions. The Spark wins big here with its very tiny and cute looking form factor. People always go 'Aww' or 'Wow' around me as I palm land it everytime . They always walk up and ask questions about it in a very nice/intrigued wayI did not want to spend time doing a lot of post processing and enhancing footage on a computer as I usually want to share my videos quickly on Social media / friends . The default color profile, saturated colors and sharpness of the Spark fitted perfectly for itPrice : I got the Spark fly more combo for $495 and when you compare that to the regular $799 price of the Air , I get more total flight time with the Spark with its two batteries, charging hub, Carry bag for around $300 less . The only thing I am missing out in the Air is Rear obstacle avoidance sensors ( Can the mitigated if you fly cautiously, plan your flight ahead), 4K Video ( Not too much of a factor for YouTube, Social Media, Family viewing) , 3 Axis Gimbal (again can be mitigated if you shoot in one plane of motion at a time and go easy on the yaw) and two additional Quickshot modesI would appreciate any feedback or tips on how to improve shots take with the spark via /r/drones https://ift.tt/2RolQMT
