Would this matter in a bigger drone build?

Hey everyone, I'm just wondering about this because I've seen some pretty big drones being built. Would you need a flight controller that is "bigger" in order to control those drones? I'm just wondering because I don't know if the ESC's would require more current to be able to control the bigger currents and stuff. I probably sound dumb for asking this but it was something I've been wondering.
