I have a part 107 license. I’m flying a mission soon and trying to determine how high I can legally go. Through the AirMap app, I can get automated approval for up to 250 ft. My question is.. is that 250’ above the ground or 250’ above structures? I was under the impression that it was 250’ above structures, but one of my colleagues disagrees.. he says while that is typically the case, in class B airspace the limits are referenced from ground level.
