I have a potential gig that will involve some night ops. I've spent a good bit of time researching and have applied. One thing that's confusing me... do people typically apply for open-ended waivers? I put a start and end date on mine right around the job... and a location... but I keep seeing requests for folks who "have a night waiver for Las Vegas" or "have a Class D waiver for LAX" ...I'm also noticing that the issued waivers in the faa list all seem to run for several years and don't seem to specify the location of the night operation.
