I had a DJI spark for a while that I bought on a whim but eventually sold because I never really used it (luckily those things hold their value pretty well). While I liked the price point I found it a little bulky to really carry around and it seemed a bit excessive to have a $400 toy in my closet collecting dust 99% of the time. But this year I have a few trips coming up, to Mexico and Maui, where it might be neat to have a drone to fly and capture some video and images. However I'm still stuck with the fact that the spark, as small as it is, is a bit bulky to really easily travel / hike with. The Mavic Air seems a bit better bet since the folding arms make it easier to carry around but it's also twice the price.Something like the Tello seems like it would be ideal for the occasional travel use, except the camera looks like it leaves a lot to be desired. I feel like my ideal drone would be something like the tello, with folding arms, and a better camera for around $200. I'm not a pro so I don't need 4k60, just give me a solid 1080 capture in a cheap and easily portable package and I'd be pretty happy.Does anything like that exist? It really seems like outside of DJI and possibly Parrot there's just not a lot that's worth buying out there, and in general more portability = $$$. via /r/drones https://ift.tt/2JTHGZM
