Need advice on first drone!

So I am completely new to the drone world and need some help on what to get. I want to eventually get into photography with it but I know I need to practice first. Should I buy a cheap one for couple hundred bucks and practice on or jump immediately into one for around $500? I’m not afraid to spend some money but also don’t want to crash away money just to learn. I don’t want a piece of junk that’s gonna be difficult to fly only to have to replace it shortly.
