At first I wanted to build my own FPV drone, and I looked up a few guides. None of the parts links worked, and I didn't want to waste money on different branded parts that might not work with the guides. I bought a small cheap $45 FPV drone from HobbyTown and intended to tear it down for the flight controller and wifi camera chip. I am/was going to replace the little motors with a little more beefy one, and replace the frame with a custom styrofoam one. Is this a realistic project? Will I need/be able to reprogram the flight controller to account for more powerful motors? I don't know how serious I am about drones, I just thought this would a really cool project.
