https://ift.tt/35PeKIp know this is super annoying - popping in and asking for a unicorn - but reddit is full of nothing but incredibly friendly and helpful people, right?I recently moved to beautiful sunny Montana and I'd love to get some aerial video of the sweeping, snow-covered hills, horses standing around doing horse things, gentle snowfall, and all that kind of screensaver crap. I have some experience with a toy drone, mainly terrorizing the cat. what I'm looking for now is something that's relatively easy to fly (I'm actually looking forward to learning), a GPS "oh no" function, and reasonable durability/moisture resistance. maybe an onboard SD card. but I'm willing to sacrifice these things though in favor of video quality. I'm no videographmeter, but I know that not all "1080p" cameras are created equal. I've seen enough demo videos to know that many, many cameras are absolute crap. low-light isn't a huge priority, but overcast skies are to be expected.but... I also don't want to spend a lot of money. which I'm sure makes this question all the more obnoxious. I'm looking for something in the $200 ballpark, which I know is asking a lot. again, I'm not asking for serious performance. I'm fine if it only flies for ten minutes, or its max speed is five miles an hour. I'm just looking for a solid video camera. (I'm not going to be taking sky-selfies.)I've been looking at Holy Stone, but it seems like a lot of their older models are still on the market which deliver, let's say "sub-par" video. I've looked at other brands, but with the OEMs flooding the market and so many dubious claims floating about I don't even know where to begin. I'm also not that concerned about sales, because I don't get paid for two weeks anyway.so... is there no help for the widows son? via /r/drones https://ift.tt/2rBfimv
