Relatively new to drones. I picked up a set of Propel Star Wars fighting drones for my friend and his kid. They are under 0.5 lbs. We live outside of DC but outside the “inner ring” around DCA. So I downloaded the B4UFLY app.Am I right that the FAA has a new rule announced Dec 30 at 6:23 PM Dc time that goes into effect in 2 weeks? From what I’m seeing the “less than half pound” waiver is taken away. So now even small drones need to be registered and marked.But also the DC special flight rules area is going to extend from NJ all the way down to South Carolina?
