In recent years, as regulations have been better explained I'd have thought this would have improved the overall experience - but I don't think it has.I bought a drone about a year ago solely for travel photography. I'd been a drone hater not long before since attending a wedding where it was buzzing me endlessly and being one with little faith in my fellow humans I saw widespread adoption as an inevitable tide of trouble. But then I tried one and saw the great photography they make possible. Still, being rather self conscious while flying and wishing to avoid ruining people's experience hiking through nature (as I hope they wouldn't wish to ruin mine) I resolved to some basic rules;1- being fully insured and licenced to fly in said country 2- diligently follow all local laws and restrictions 3- fly only very early in the morning to avoid or minimize annoyance to others 4- use the quietest drone I could find that met my needs and avoid flying it low enough to be disturbingNow, aside from this set of rules reducing me to so few flights per year that the drone seems to be a waste of money - it hasn't actually helped. It only takes one early rising local dog walker looking at me (maybe only out of curiousity) and Im questioning the wisdom of remaining in the air.Anyone else feel like this and if so, how have you overcome it? via /r/drones https://ift.tt/3bRyXRi
