Has anyone else ever run into this problem? Part 107 nightmare

I'll try to make this as concise as possible. I signed up for the Part 107 recurrent drone test through PSI to renew my commercial drone license. I studied for a week and went to the testing facility on Friday. When the administrator signed me in he informed me I was signed up for the General test (meant for first timers). Probably a mistake on my part, a miss click. The administrator called up PSI to see if I could switch my test to the recurrent version (it is an online test after all). After being put on hold for a half hour I talk to the PSI representative and she informs me that I can't switch to the proper test. Ok fine, surely they will let me reschedule with my current funds that I put forth. Nope. Ok fine surely I can get a refund since I paid for a test that was never administered. NOPE. No rescheduling no refunds. I'm SOL.Alright, so I paid for the General test. I haven't studied everything on that version, but I paid for it. Better not let it go to waste and hope for the best. I mean I passed it the first time two years ago! The administrator informs me that I can't take that test as it's not valid for someone who is currently licensed, even though it's just a longer version of the renewal test. The administrator said he would input the test as incomplete and leave a note as to why.I contacted PSI this morning and got the same lady as before, she still wasn't helpful at all. She said she would pass my information onto the FAA who would review my case. Apparently PSI just provides a place to schedule and isn't responsible for anything? I don't know. I just feel like this is extremely unfair. I'm not saying I didn't make a mistake. I did. But this policy is absolutely criminal. This isn't a cheap test. It's $160 and they aren't allowing me to just put it towards the correct test. Has this happened to anyone else? Am I out of line for thinking this is nuts? via /r/drones https://ift.tt/2ByK6cK
